We have a special fund for helping families access lactation support. Learn how you can help!

Trainings Offered

Breastfeeding-Friendly Provider

Learn how you can best support the breastfeeding family by understanding the importance of breastfeeding for optimal health of mother and baby, how to help with common issues, and when and how to refer to lactation professionals.

Lactation Support for Doulas

Doulas, you are some of the first to see mom and baby in those early days. Enhance your support skills with a special training on lactation support that includes handling common issues, societal hurdles, and generational traumas.

Community Trainings &
Workshops

Our communities play a pivotal role in the health and success of families. We invite your organization to join us to gain a better understanding of how best to support families on their breastfeeding journey.

Family Fund

Unfortunately, not all insurance companies cover lactation visits. We have a fund to help families access lactation support if they cannot otherwise afford it. Click below for more information.

About MO State Lactation Foundation

The Missouri State Lactation Foundation was founded in early 2024 by a group of lactation professionals from all across Missouri. Together we can support each other, advance our professional skills, and improve the field of lactation in Missouri. By working together we can help more families access lactation support, and we can collaborate with other providers throughout the state to improve the understanding of the importance of breastfeeding, and how to best support the mother and infant dyad.
